Got T-Boned today... sucks a fat one.

I know it isn't totaled but I wish it was. Some A-hole T-boned me on my way to work this morning. He was running late for work. Sucks because I woke up early this morning to drop dry cleaning off and grab some breakfast for people at work. Wasn't on my normal schedule at all, trying to be nice and give some people a good breakfast at my office.

I'm so glad that I'm ok, but still it makes you question why bad things happen to good people. I know that's what insurance is for, but I'm just down on everything right now...

Damn Maxi... Where did this happen at, bro? Did the bad weather have anything to do with it. Let me know if I can do anything to help man. I know some good shops. PM me.

EDIT: Re-read. It happened this morning so weather could not have been the culprit.

Happened on Buford Highway. Unfortunately I've got to drive that road everyday. I've thought about it a million times how I've been lucky to drive it for four years straight on the commute to downtown Atlanta and never had an accident. Guess it was just my time.

The insurance company brought the car to Nalley BMW in Doraville, they claim it is their Blue Ribbon repair shop. Had nothing to do with the weather since this happened in the AM. Just a guy running late for work that ran a light.

If they decide to repair (I'm sure they will) is there anything I should look out for in particular with this kind of wreck? I had to point out a scratch on the wheel that they didn't notice. I hope there isn't any suspension damage as well, although I fear there may be.

Max makes a good point. If not done right, you may always have problems.

Are you on Lease or Purchase?

If on a purchase, I'd get it fixed and the day you get it back, immediately trade it in or sell it to a dealership (not an Infiniti one though) before it hits CarFax. You'll take a loss, but less of a loss than if you tried to sell it with accident history.

Hopefully someone can give you some feedback on what to look for. The only reason I'd recommend you look for a body shop elsewhere is because the insurance company isn't looking out for your best interest. They are looking our for theirs... what it is going to cost them to fix it. They may tell you they are the "blue ribbon" shop, but if they really were they would be very expensive and the insurance company likely wouldn't use them. You have a choice of where to take it as long as estimates are within reason.

Unfortunately it's a lease.

I have gap insurance, so I shouldn't have to pay any out of pocket for depreciated value. Not sure how that will be handled, cross that bridge when it comes along.

Ahh ok. In this case, I think you're in a better position than if you were financing for purchase.

Even though it's a lease, smart man for getting GAP insurance (assuming it wasn't included by your insurer).
