Interested in a G37

I am very well convinced that a G37 is a car that i would love to own but what are the odds that the one i get is the one that has all these defects or problems that all the other owners are having. i currently own a rx 8 and the problems with that thing are just a shame and im lookin for a car thats reliable as well as a performer.

The '08 is the first gen model so some of those type of quirks is what many owners are experiencing now. Not all owners, just a some. I'm waiting for the '09 hoping that some of the quirks will have been fixed. If not, I'll get an '08 at a better price cause the '09's will have been released.

I've had two other 1st gen vehicles and it totally sucked a$$! Never again!!! I'm waiting for the '09. Patience is way overrated though!!!!

I traded in my '04 RX-8 6MT ( which I had NO problems with except got only 15 mpg and it was torque-less) for a G37S 6MT. I am now getting 17-18 mpg and am lovin' everything about my new car (since I am only at 600 miles, I haven't really opened her up, yet). I still miss the 9000 rpm redline "beep" of the RX-8, but am looking forward to mile 1200 so I can really let the G stretch her legs. The RX-8 felt more "throw aroundible", if that makes sense but I don't think you will be disappointed with a G37S

compared to model year 1 of the G35, our problems are minor annoyances. everyone seems to forget most of the parts, design have already been tested on the 2nd gen G35 sedan.

^^I totally agree. I had a G35 right when they came out and I had all kinds of minor issues. Every single one was taken care of under warentee but still a PITA. So far no problems with my 37 but I am still just under 4K miles.

there are many annoyances, like crackling in the rear, rattling in the exhaust, noises in the brakes, delays whenever you drive your 6mt hard..pretty sure there are more. however, these are easy fixes, just bring it into the dealership..
