That looks exactly like mine except I have about 6 of them and they're longer. I just don't see how a window tinter could have put them there. I'm leaning towards a factory issue. Thanks for the pics. I'm still trying to find a reputable scratch repair technician in my local area.

of course its a factory issue... alot of people have them...

If everyone starts complaining to the dealership... something has to happen... It would be nice for them to replace the windows for us... I know my driver side that they replaced is PERFECT. now I just need the passenger side replaced... grrrrrrr

How much of an ordeal was it to replace those windows?? My service manager described major surgery to me. That's why I'm looking into repair, which the dealer said they would pay for. I just shudder at someone tearing down my car that's only 2 weeks old!!

It was NOT a big deal... The glass was ordered and took 2-3 days to arrive. Car was dropped off one morning... they sent it off to there "body Shop" they sub contract through. I had the car back by 4:00PM the same day... it had to be a pop in pop out and seal type thing in order for them to finish it in one day... No way its major... Get it replaced right...dont jsut fix it...

Yeah this is what i was going to do...except i just thought that maybe i was being too nit-picky? I mean its just a little scratch.. not really even that noticeable. The car will get nicks and scratches all over in a few months due to normal wear and tear, so i dont see the point of me going through all this trouble for a little scratch (or two) ;[

but if its a easy job i just may have to do it... its new and all.

These scratches shouldn't be on our cars like this... Don't care how small or un-noticable they are to others... I'm the dude drivin' the car, and it's bugged me since the first day I saw it... With that being said, i'm taking my car in next week...

You know what, your right. I'm gonna call up my service advisor and schedule an appointment for this, it bothers me too.

I could definitely handle that type of replacement. I am going to discuss it again with the service manager. Thanks for all your input.

Absolutely. I just e-mailed the service manager about it. He has been very willing to work with me so I'm confident it will be replaced. I just got off the phone with a window repair technician who was quite confident the tempered glass will fracture as they try to buff out the scratches. Replacement it is. I will do a follow up post. If there's anybody else out there with similar problems, please chime in and let your dealer know about it!!

I just checked my rear quarter glass and didn't find anything. I'm surprised by how many people have this. The randomity of these occurrences makes me wonder if it's something that originated from the factory...?

You guys should put a small marking somewhere just to make sure they are "replacing" the glass, and not just sanding it out. haha get some whiteout or some sharpie and put like a dot somewhere.

This is really weird, but I have been cleaning my back window over the weekend (have tinted it about 2 weeks ago and wanted to get all the fingerprings from the shop guys out) and I just noticed a similar scratch.

Not too happy about it, but with tint, its not that noticeable.

Also, with my prior experience with Infiniti and Nissan, they will fix it - but most likely damage something else (too many bad experiences with various dealerships in LA area).

I think the original manufacturing fitment is the best... as such, I'm incline to just leave it the way it is.
