Question Service Question

Can you take an Infiniti to a Nissan dealer if there is no Infiniti dealer in your city? Just another consideration I have to make before purchase. The closest dealer is 45 mins. away.

I believe you can but you won't get the same benefits like a loaner car. Not 100% sure though.

youll get some better prices for sure..no loaner...id say do oil changes at nissan and longer tuneups and services at Infiniti so u get the loaner....45 mins sounds pretty bad tho...i am sure warranty issues should be fine but you'll prob get different answers from them, nissan will say come on over, and infiniti will say no stay with us. call corporate for the real answer for warranty issues.

^ You can go to any place to do 'regular servicing' ... but would you trust them is the thing. If it's just an oil change, you can do it yourself on your driveway. Just keep the receipt (of the oil +filter) as "proof" you did the change.

The dealers want to scare you into thinking that they are the only place that can keep your car under warranty. That's a crock of BS.

I ran into this with my TSX and a Honda dealer. They would do regular service on the car but warranty work had to be done at an authorized Acura dealer. Not sure if its the same for Nissan/Infiniti but I'm guessing it is....

I have made arrangements with the local Nissan dealer to service my G. They are able to do all the regular service and have an arrangement to access parts and details if there is a warranty issue. I would guess my situation is a bit unique though as the closest Infiniti dealer is 2300km away!

service

Nissan did all the service and honored all the warranties and stuff on my '06 G35 Coupe. Never took it to Infiniti because their service wouldn't answer calls or return emails to make appointments.
