G-Color Black or Silver?

Trying to decide between the two. The black has a nice luxurious/classy look and the liquid silver looks pretty good for a silver color. I saw one on the street and it looked a bit flashy though. I currently drive a black car in L.A., and can really look nice when the sun hits it in the right place, but it also can be hot (have 33% black front and 20% read black tint). I am worried of a hot car every time I use it, especially when it can be harsh on interior. Another slight problem with black is that if its left outside, in gathers dust rather quickly. What color should I get for the G? Which one looks better for this car?

The OB has to be cleaned like every day. LP is a much lower maintenance color (but OB still looks best)....

I am currently owned a LP because I am too lazy to wash her every other day and scratches/chips are not as easily detected compare to OB. However, I have to admit OB does look better and sexier. IMO, you can't go wrong with either color.

Black requires more work to maintain it and make it look really nice. Silver is lower maintenance. Black if you have the time and are willing to put in the effort, silver may be more practical, depending on your life style. Or, you can consider platinum graphite, which shows the lines and contour of the G pretty well.

I second that. I love black but I can't be cleaning my car every day, and I hate ridin' dirty. But it's sexy as hell though. You can't go wrong with LP, but it's not as sexy as black. So meet halfway and go for BS or PG or AG.

I myself is going for BS. IMO, it's dark enough, less maintenance than OB with a touch of blue. It's also a very unique color.

I ponied up for an OB last night, picking it up today

I have always had Black cars - Maxima, S2000, GTV6 Tuscani

Is it more work?

Of course it is, but nothing looks better than a clean black ride

Well worth the effort, and a California Duster works wonders between washes in the summer

I half considered the silver as well but after seeing a clean OB there is no comparison IMO

I've had many black cars in the past and they looked great for about a day or two after you really take care of it. I still love black but LP is a great color for the G as it really shows the lines well. I was deciding between the two as well and ended up with a LP. No regrets so far.

If you own a black car already and are aware of how hard it is to keep clean, I say get black. Although, I have to say, while I generally don't like Silver cars, the G37 looks really good on Silver. You can't go wrong either way.

as many have said... this is such a personal subjective topic...but fun to talk about.

I love black....but black doesn't love me (have had many black cars)...I am nuts about how my car looks and I go crazy at the sight of any scratch, ding or other imperfection...

after consdiering long and hard, I went with PG...is it as sexy as OB?...nope...will it conserve my sanity?...yup...

the other thing to consider and has been discussed at length here is the ease with which G paint scratches...that's another thing to consider about OB...

go the picture section of this forum and look at all the photos...it really helped me make my decision... one that I'm comfortable with...
