Mileage When You Took Delivery?

I am looking at a 6mt that has 38 miles on it. This is my first new car (sad for 31 I know), but I have always been meticulous about the maintenance of my prevouis vehicles and know how people can be pretty hard on test drives.

Any thoughts on this. I have been reading about the "break-in" 1200 miles on here and was wondering if any WOT runs even only 40 miles worth could cause any harm on these motors.

Thanks and let me know what you think.

Thanks for the link - makes me feel better.

By the way, your color combo and options are the exact same as the car I am almost ready to pull the trigger on. Does 41,800 seem inline with what you paid (if you don't mind me asking). Thanks!

go to edmonds.com and outfit the car you're looking at as equipped...they show retail, invoice and TMV which is supposed to indicate what others are paying for the same car...it isn't the bible but will give you some perspective...

you'll get all sorts of claims on here about how far under invoice people purchased for...IMHO some of it is BS...

ultimately you decide what the car is worth to you...and whether the dealer..the experience...the car...is worth it or not...

one thing I can tell you for sure is this car is amazing and you won't be sorry about the purchase...that of course is assuming that you want high performance...with luxury to match and don't mind giving up some gas mileage and space in the process...

good luck with your choice...hopefully you'll join our ranks soon!

Thanks - I did check edmunds and the TMV for "my" car was 42,300 or so. I have contaced a few dealerships in Socal to see what they can do and expect to hear back from them today.

Worse case, I get the one I mentioned and have a bada$$ new car with a $30 more a month payment.

cool...for what its worth...and as much as I hated doing it...I was able to work one dealer's price against the other and came out pretty good...

or at least it seems to me I did...I would give you a number but it was complicated by my trade so really hard to say what I got for actual price on my G...

bada$$ new car???....abso..freaking...lutely!!!

Just signed a deal today for $700 over invoice and the car has 12 miles on it and still in the plastic!

Will be here in 10 days - can't wait.

Thanks for all the input!

Blue Slate / Graphite

Sport, Premium, Nav, Illum Kick, Spoiler, Trunk stuff...

The truck is going to pick it up mid next week and should make it up to my corner of the country by the following monday or so.

Hopefully the driver has a heavy foot and gets up here quicker!

I got word Friday that my dealer had been invoiced for my car and it should be here any day now. It sucks because I was called Friday and it didn't make it on the first truck. Where the hell is the second truck? The driver must be eating doughnuts somewhere. Oh well, I should have it next weekend that gives the darn guy to make it.
