Wow I hope you're joking when you say you bought a new rim... If you haven't picked it up yet seriously ask em about fixing it, I guarantee you won't be able to tell at least not $600 worth.
If I did not think that fixing it would make it look perfect....I would replace the wheel as well.
I will rarely parallel park because I do not want curb rash in my car. Yes over time this becomes less an issue, but man for the first year you gotta give your car some love.
I think she did right!

Wow got a new rim already??? I would still fix it and keep it as a backup in case you get a worse curb rash and you can put the other one back on for the lesser of the rashes ahahha...
i also rarely parallel park....do u guys think there are potholes from hell that can "curb rash" the rims? in michigan with all the salt eatin away at the roads my biggest fear is a pothole either bending my rim or curb rashing it. I check my tire pressure every week just to make sure im not low - since lower the air pressure weaker the wheel against a pothole....

I'll echo the sentiments of others here by saying that could've easily been fixed for $100 by someone with the right skills. My dealership has a guy who does this and you can't tell anything ever happened to the rim once he's done with it.
My girlfriend curbed my rim the 2nd week...it was a rash spanning about 15" all around the rim, and the dealer fixed it for $125, looks brand new, minus the red spot on all factory rims....let me know if u are willing to sell that rim...lol

haha j/k. Sorry to hear about that.
