speed bumps?

I've been seeing alot of pictures of everyones G37's being dropped and I like that look alot and wanna do the same thing to mine when i get it but i was just wondering about it because here in NY (queens specifically) theres A LOTTTTTT of speed bumps and all sorts of crazy obstacles, especially on my school campus & local neighborhoods. does any1 have a problem with their dropped G on speed bumps? or getting in and out of steep parkinglots/driveways etc.? I doubt i would end up dropping it if any of these things can cause damage whatsoever.

My car isn't lowered and I've scraped on a couple speed bumps. I would think it would get tiring having to go around speed bumps and not being able to get out of steep driveways and parking lots.

when you go over speed bumps just favor your left.. if a car is parked there im not sure what to do. Some people i noticed go like side to side basically turn their wheels while going over the bump..

i might consider a drop very very slight drop bc im actaully from ny (bx).. like just springs nothing big...

im going to wait till i c one in person with a drop and compare it to w out a drop bc when i was at the dealer the 37 didnt look like it was i need for a drop. lol

mine is lowered in front about an inch and i don't really have many problems at all. its just knowing how to drive i guess. the tein G35 drops will be to extreme for most of us. I would wait for coils to come out so you can just eliminate the gap in teh wheel wells.

This car is actually quite low as it is, with the huge wheelbase, this combines to screw you over on any steep driveways or speed bumps. Where I live is similar for some reason they love steep entrances to parking lots. I scraped everywhere in my stock G35C, I just avoid those same places with my G37 but I have no doubt it would scrape there as well. There is no way I would drop this car more then it is, to have to always worry about if you're going to scrape or how to "properly" take a freakin speed bump is not worth the mild gain in looks to me.

ohh i don't scrap speed bumbs at all. In fact i don't think ive hit one yet taht i couldn't go straight over. I go sideways bc its easier on the rims aand my backs rub.

Guys you all need to lower the front at least .5 to 1"

love the look of the dropped G37, but if you actually look under the car it's dang close to the ground as is. it's just the well gap that gives it the allusion of not being low enough.

To lower my G37, what kind of springs would I get? Should I lower the back and the front?

it all depends on what you are looking for. do you want a subtle drop? a slammed look? raked look?

Definitely, the car is just as low my old G35C stock, I don't particularly think the wheel gaps are enormous either, but I guess it could give that illusion. I had a 98 Accord Coupe way back and you could fit your entire fist and some between the tire and top of the wheel arch, with the close to 9-10" stock clearance of the car, THAT is 4x4! With my G37 I can barely fit 2-3 fingers on the front wheel and none on the rear, the car sits maybe 5-6 inches off the ground. Maybe I have fat fingers but that doesn't scream 4x4 to me, but to each his own.
