I just tried setting my 18,750 maintenance reminder on the nav screen and the highest value it appears you can enter is 18,000 miles. Is this correct? Seems crazy that you could use the maintenance reminders up to 18,000 miles.

 

I know nothing about using that have not set up mine yet.. Maybe it designed to be used up to 18,000 miles from your current mileage, not up to 18,000...

 

i think you should be able to use it more than 18000.

 

The maintenance reminder that you set in the center display (were the speedometer is) can be set higher. I would use that one if you need to go higher in mileage. Not sure if the center display and the Nav/Music/Info display are linked.

 

Correct... Once you reset it, it starts from the current milage. Not from zero.

Good info bboy, I didnt know you could set it there as well. I will have to take a look at that....

 

On my G37, the center console goes up to 18,250 (I believe) - I can't seem to set it higher than that. It seems like the maintenance reminder in the nav screen max'es out at 18,000 and the maintenance reminder in the center console max'es at 18,250.

Also, earlier in the thread, someone suggested the reminders are from the current mileage forward. I don't think that is how it works for the maintenance reminders associated with the Nav screen. I set one there and it reminded me at that actual mileage, not "set time" mileage plus the reminder mileage.

I've got approx. 8,000 miles on my G37 and seem to be unable to set a maintenance reminder for the 18,750 factory maintenance. I'll keep playing, but haven't figured it out yet. I suggest someone see if they can set a maintenance reminder for, say, 20,000 miles (either in the Nav screen or the center console display) and let us know if it can be done - and how you did it.
