in my opinion, exhaust and intake fall under show on this car.

you will not see any real "go" improvements on this car unless you go FI

Go before show if you can get some good go-mods.
The only show I would do for my taste is a mild drop and perhaps some nice rims and a tasteful front lip.

Go with a front splitter/spoiler for enhanced handling.

no front splitter, i would do sway bars, strut bars, better tires, and a drop for handling.

I guess the "go" aspect is all about perspective....

This thing is decently quick (the speed is deceiving given the smoothness of the platform) but it's far from fast...

I'm coming from the world of forced induction modular Fords where 450+ rwhp is common place...Given that, the 280ish this thing puts to the wheels and the way the power comes on doesn't exactly blow me away...

It is certainly quite a step up in a "total package" but it's a long way from being a speed merchant...

Honestly though, I can't even see a lot of need for show on this car except for maybe window tint...I mean it's got nice headlights, a very nice interior and exterior, nice wheels from the factory, nice stereo, the tires fill the wheel wells nicely, etc....Depending on the color of the car and it's application, carbon fiber accessories (hoods, trunks, etc...) is something I expect to see on a Honda Civic, RSX or some other 4 banger...

Now that's not to say it can't be done tastefully...

but i would not 'race' the car at all, so no need for more horsepower. i just want to stand out from the crowd whenever the g37 becomes common around here.

wait until top notch products are available and do a solid Super/Charger kit so you get reliable, constant power throughout the RPM band....Turboes are too much like Vtec and too much to maintain and causes more issues in my opinion. If you want OEM feeling power then just wait it out and supercharge....as for show if you want to look distinguished I would not do more than some good tints, unique wheels/tires/coilevers and possibly front end lip....me personally as soon as coilovers come out I am gonna get 20 Gold Volk GT-C's and slap em on with coilovers....

So yeah prioritize the GO down the road dont waste $1-2k on I/H/E you will only free up 8-12 WHP if ur lucky its not a good bang for the buck - that's about enough to cancel out with your +1 heavier/bigger wheel sizing haha. might as well spend $5-6k on a S/C kit with performance exhaust + ECU.....that can shave off a nice .5 secs from ur 0-60 knock on wood and improve our crummy power to OBESITY ratio. 3,700 lbs haha the 2004 M45 lux sedan weighed like 3800!!!!!!!!

Maybe 75% show, 25% go for you then, or maybe even all for show. But yea, there's no good go parts out right now anyway. Go for show?

My vote is for show ...

1) tint
2) rims
3) drop -- could be a little of both since a good suspension setup helps with "go" ... in a non-straight line

Please, don't slap on a bunch of vinyl stickers ... that is truly tacky (unless you're sponsored ... then you got no choice).

----

Not a big 'fan' of "go" ... exhaust is mainly 'show' due to sound. Only FI is truly a 'go' mod. What else can you do to make it really faster? (ie gut the car and throw in race seats?)

Just my $0.02 ...
