ok so i really like vibrant red and athens blue but i was wondering if you guys are getting some unwanted attention from police? this probably applies more to the vibrant red owners the athens blue but they are both bright colors so i was just wondering. if im gonna get pulled over every other day would rather get black.

 

You usually get pulled over for doing something bad not because of the color of your car. I really don't think you will have a problem with either color. Now if you hook up the G with say some performance badging and mod it so it is loader and faster. Cops tend to look for cars that have badging like NOS, etc because they figure might be one of these young kids that does street racing. But still you tend to have to do something wrong like going over the speed limit (say 5 mph over) to warrent getting pulled over. They will watch you more closely though.

 

Radar is not concerned with what color your car is.

 

Well there is a tendency that those who have a red car tend to have a more aggressive driving style...Therfore the color of your vehicle can have an affect on the attention received

 

ah decisions decisions lol well im not really an aggressive driver but who knows whats gonna happen with the new g lol everybody does 10 to 15 over the limit in my area

 

Buy the color you like. Drive in a reasonable manner. No problems

I think that having a red car is an old urban legend, but I still kinda believe it. When a cop is looking at traffic and he sees a red car kinda going faster than the others, it may catch his/her eye a little more than others...I think the Athens Blue is really beautiful like all of the other colors, but you have to really make sure you like blue enough to have it for several years. Black seems universal for everyone except that it gets dirty quicker, stays just a little hotter during hot summers (I dont know if that applies to you but it did to me here in LA/OC area). All colors have a pro/con I suppose, except for Platinum Graphite so I got that one...lol, jk

 

Used to have a Laser Red G35 coupe, now driving an AB G35 coupe. Never had any problems being targeted or getting excessive numbers of speeding tickets. Only ticket I got in the LR was b/c I was traveling 15 miles over the limit and driving in an "aggressive manner." I think the AB stands out less if you're still concerned about it. In the end, go with the color you love most.

It's a secret ....My boyfriend is my G37S "hot and powerful". I with him every day and we will go to Las Vegas on Dec 26....will stay at Mandalay Bay thru the New Year.This is the first time take the long trip with my G37S.
