Sorry to hear that man. I know how you feel...sorta. When I got my brand new Accord during senior year of high school, I got rear ended a couple weeks later sitting in traffic outside of school. Someone rear ended the person behind me, who rear ended me. The worst part is, it was a hit and run, so the lady in the middle got screwed.

Hope your situation turns out well for ya.

whoa.. .that really sucks and looks like the damage was more than just cosmetic. Yes, it will look nice again!!

if you bought, it will effect the resell value. good luck with any compensation claims. Maybe you can get the guy to cover the cost of a new one.. that would be awesome!

OUCH . Very OUCH. That looks just like my car. I drove home clutching my Rosary not wanting to get hit like that. G/L with the repairs bro.

I wouldnt keep that car if I was you. Mabe if it was a year old, not an hour old. Sell it back to the dealer, or just try and get rid of it.

Sorry about the accident. I can just imagine how I would feel in your position.
Good luck with the repair.

Sorry about the accident. Doesn't the LS have a backup camera, and sensors that beep when you get close to something?? The police should have given him a vision test on the spot, he probably would have failed.

Did anyone ever file for a DIV (depreciation in value claim) with state farm ... because they told me today that the only way i could do that is to first sell the car and then bring them the info to show that it went down in value because of the accident and then they will evaluate it ... i just dont wanna get screwed again the accident is bad enough to deal with but if i sell it back to the dealer and then state farm denies the claim ill be out like $10k

Which then leaves me to just keep the car to be safe but i really dont want that one considering it was hit that hard 1hr after i got it

thanks

Get online and Google "diminished value claim" "your state" and you will be presented with a plethora of lawyers and services that will assist you in recovering, from the insurance company, monetary loss due to other than repairs which they are already bound to pay. You are the third party here and thats a 99 percenter. My 2 cents.
