What is this?

Front grill, lower driver side. There is a rectagular opening that I've seen on other member's pictures while others do not have it. Anyone have an idea as to what this is? and if it should be covered?

Attached are pics of 2 G37S; one black and one white.. one has the opening, the other does not.

thats part of the technology package...its what makes your inteligent cruise control work!! i hated the way it looked, so i ordered my car without tech package..it throws the balance of the front end off when ya look at ti

That ICC is a hoot, wouldn't trade it for the aesthetics.

Agreed. Sucks though because now every car I get will have to have it.

Hmm... I wonder if that is what is causing a lot of people's problems with their laser radar detectors??!! I heard the LCD screen can cause some false laser alerts as well....

But there's a FRICKEN LASER in there, man. That's cool.

I am sure that my V1 is alerting to the "ICC" and "Preview Braking" laser. Mostly on chromed out vehicles.

I guess it has to be rectangular to get a good view of the road from the recess of the hole. Maybe, Statistically, off center and recessed is less likely to catch rocks?

I think it looks perfect right where it is.
