Infiniti Sept. sales announced

INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS
· Infiniti sales increased by 2.7 percent on a daily sales rate basis, with 10,250 units sold, as compared with last September’s 10,378 units.
· The G Sedan experienced a record September, with sales totaling 3,841 units, a 24.1 percent increase. G Coupe sales reached 2,491 units, a 33.5 percent gain versus the prior year.
· The QX56 luxury SUV continued its momentum with sales of 1,150 units, a 32.9 percent increase over the prior year.

Looks pretty good considering Toyota is down 4% and Ford is down 21%.

They must of been posted recently as I checked earlier today and they weren't posted yet.

Those are some great numbers!

How is going from 10,378 to 10,250 an increase?

Sales Days

I think they are counting this as an increase because there were fewer sales days this September than last. So even though there was a decrease in the total number sold, they are assuming that there would be an increase if the number of days were equal.

Too bad that they don't break down the G-coupe's sales between the 35 and the 37. I'm wondering how much of the increase is due to the new car versus the steep discounts on the old one. Speaking from the viewpoint of someone who is waiting for the dealers to be a little more generous with their discounts, I'm kinda hoping that sales aren't that great

I got the Toyota and Ford numbers from the NYT website and it looks like they just changed them- Toyota now -0.6% and Ford -17%. They don't even mention Nissan.

This is where I'm kind of happy to live in a location with such limited supply, since it will take a while for this car to start appearing everywhere. I know it took a while for the G35C to saturate the market here as well so hopefully I have some time. But good to know the car is selling.

The sales numbers are good, but keep in mind these sales reflect a comparison between the 06 G35 sedan and the 07 G35. That's two completely different cars. We all know the first generation G35 lost its momentum and the sedan was at its lowest point in sales so the remodeled 07was bound to sell more cars.

Next year September will be a better comparison because all cars would be the same generation.
