You can certainly feel these differences when driving with the Sport package:

Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VLSD)
10-spoke 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with W-rated summer performance tires
Sport-tuned suspension
4-piston front and 2-piston rear calipers, with 14.0-inch front and 13.8-inch rear brake discs

The other options are mainly for looks and ride comfort.

Isn't there a way where people can get the Sport package (or 6MT) without the Sport front bumper?

IMHO, the Sport package is a must if you are thinking of getting the Journey edition even if its just for those ginormous brakes!

I thought about this too. The Sport 6MT is just that, a much SPORTIER car.
And the price difference isn't much. Even if I didn't know how to drive a stick, I would still get a 6MT sport and learn after.

Well... I would hope that you'd rent a stick shift car and not learn on the G.

the only diff b/w the 6MT and Journey Sport is .... the 6MT.

to the question:

as stated, there is a definite difference b/w rides of the Journey and Sport models. you feel the road quite a bit more, but i haven't experienced any body roll at all, and it just handles like a dream.
