Smile Amethyst Graphite for me in Sept

I put down a deposit for an Amethyst Graphite on Graphite 6mt w/ navi (and premium). The date I was given is late sept. I'm still waiting for a VIN.

I'll be trading my 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT w/ Navi for it....

I'll post pics tonight. The color is just gorgeous when the sun hits it and I'm not sure if a camera can even capture it.

The G37 is worth the $40k a helluva lot more than my 06 is. I think it makes no sense to continue making payments on the 06 when not much more payment puts a G37 in the garage instead.

The difference is night/day.

Sounds good. How much are they giving you for a trade?

I've not worked out the trade yet, so I don't know. I expect KBB valuation.

OK I went today to run numbers with my dealer

Trade-in was high side of KBB. My 06 is in excellent condition minus mildly high mileage. $26k even.

G37 6mt w/ Navi was sticker at $42,025. Sales manager was completely unwilling to budge on that.

I asked the sales manager to please consider coming up on my trade-in to compensate for the sticker on the G37 side of the deal. They said they would work on it.

So, my impression right now is that I will have to hope they reconsider their trade offer. Or, I will sell the car myself. I plan to list it tomorrow after I take some pictures. Best case scenario would be if I brought them a buyer for trade-through.

I'm also considering leasing since I plan to move to a more practical four-door in about 3 years. But, the G37 is not leasing very well right now.

In any case, the car should be here this coming week! So I just need to finalize the numbers and get them in line with what I'm able to pay for the car.

Yes... I like it too. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it but I wanted to like it. Now I'm actually liking it a lot for real. I'm sure once it is mine and I see the different hues it will be awesome. I have a black coupe now and I will miss that "just-washed" black car look. I will not miss the "just sprinkled on for 1 minute and looks like it hasn't been washed in 3 months" look though!

Here's my ad for my 06 Coupe. Thought you guys might enjoy the pictures of my current ride.. Took these today:
