bulb replacements.

if you don't foolishly try to tackle the glove box, you can do all the lights in about 20 minutes.

How many of each LED bulb shown in the screenshot did you need? 2 of each?

Finagle,

Do the LED's in your map lights have a soft glow even when the lights are off? I put mine in last night and even when the lights aren't on, you can see a very slight illumination coming from the bulb.

I plan on taking an electrical tester to the bulb socket tonight to see if there's trace voltage, but I don't know why there would be.

yep. you have to flip the dome switch to OFF for them to be totally off.

i already knew this would happen from reading threads in the 07 Sedan section of G35Driver though. my fiance and i both think it kinda just adds to the ambiance lighting already present and doesn't bother me.

I changed my lights like finagle last night as well. The doors were a PITA since I was scared I was gonna crack the lenses. lol Anywho thanks finagle for showing us which LED's to get, the car looks sooooo much better with the new lights.

When you guys turn on the headlights at night, is there a small hole with a light coming through next to the right map light? I didn't find out about it until last night.

That light is an LED that provides ambient light on the center cluster... lets you see more than just the backlit controls at night.

After playing around with the bulbs a little bit in different configurations, I think I'm going to use the 5 LED bulbs in the trunk, license plate, and doors (wider light dispersement due to the radially mounted LED's) and use the 6 LED bulbs in the map lights for a little brighter cabin. So my setup is this:

(2) 6 LED Bulbs - Map Lights
(5) 5 LED Bulbs - Trunk, License Plate

The 6 LED in the trunk gives a spot-light effect with one brightly lit circle on the trunk mat while the 5 LED in the trunk softly lights the whole area. Ditto for the doors.

cool, nice config.

I tried the 4's and 6's in the map lights, but didn't like the way it seemed like a circle of light within the whole map light square luminaire. The 5's really filled the piece out while still giving off usefull light.
