look at it this way, at least i got to drive the thing finally. i asked for a demo to test so i could redline it. we tested out the VDC a few times

but yeah, i felt pretty insulted at what they offered and their bogus reasons. i told them that the dealership broke a promise to me and that i was the first people to drop 1K with them.

i think my fiance was more upset than me... she really liked the car. we'll see how the next few days pan out.

That really blows. Try Carmax if you have one by you. I traded in my roadster and got considerably more than I was quoted at several dealerships, including infiniti. No reason why you have to trade in your car to the place you purchase the new vehicle. Good luck!

 

yeah, i had gotten a carmax quote of 4K a few months ago. but the second dealer had said (not written) that they'd give between fair and good, which is roughly 4500. i just called my guy at the other dealer and he said to bring the car in for them to look at. if they hold true to their word, i'll wait for their G37. if not, i'll go to carmax and ask them to hold to their three month old appraisal and give me 4K. if the last scenario happens, i'll go back to dealer 1 and buy the G37 that i was able to touch and feel yesterday.

Why would you do that? They just screwed you over, I would buy it from dealership 2 if I was in your shoes.

 

i would be vindicated knowing that they won't get the extra money over MSRP that they obviously tried to get out of me.

my impulsiveness requires this.

update:

the owner of the dealership said that if i sold my car to carmax, he'd give me 500 off MSRP.

so i did the deal and took delivery.

excuse the crap quality of the photos... iphone was all i had on me. i'll take better pictures tomorrow hopefully.
