I was driving down 294 going south towards Indiana last weekend and I saw a billboard for the new G37. It said:

"The Calm Before The Storm ...

The all new 330-hp Infiniti G37"

Has anyone else seen any other billboards. If so please quite what they said, I love infiniti's marketing ... so original. Also if anyone has pictures of the billboard I just mentioned or any other one please post them up.

The one that I mentioned reminds me of one of Darude's mixes ... where they were singing "it is so calm before the storm" ...

And last but not least my all time favorite Infiniti billboard:

 

Really? Well then I wish Infiniti would be a little more consistent with their ads. They've been all over the place. They still have no tagline as far as I can tell. They have been using "Brave. By design" in their brochures, pamphlets, etc. but that's it. I'm still not sure what their mission is exactly or their brand image for that matter (they are young and reinventing themselves so I know brand image is slowly coming to fruition).

Regardless of all of that, I think that billboard you posted is very cool and I'm sure the one for the new G is as well. Infiniti just needs one cohesive package/image/message when advertising in my opinion, and I don't think they've hit their stride quite yet.

 

Did they have a picture of the new G37 on the billboard.

 

That sounds like a pretty cool billboard, wish we could find a picture of it. I like the tag line "the calm before the storm", I think it fits the car!

Well I don't know if you remember when the G35 came out but they had a campaign where they came up with a very cool quote of some sort for each color of the coupes ... like the one i showed above they had:

Laser Red = "it is in your Blood"
Black = ughhhhhh I cant remember it but it was something about coffe with cream maybe ...
Ivory Pearl = "Pure"
Carribean blue = "no one dreams in beige"

those are the only ones i can remember

and I believe the FX was the one that had "Brave by design" on all of its billboards ... which i think sounds very original. But then again that is just my opinion.

 

yep it had one, it was the same color as the mule that first showed up. some sort of silver, sorry I don't know any of the silver colors other than DG.

I've always been a true DARUDE fan so as soon as I got home I played "the storm" now all I need is a picture of that billboard to go along with it, or maybe a G37. Anyone wants to give me theirs?

I saw a billboard, but I can't remember where. It had to be along the BQE or the I87 going upstate. I didnt read it cause it wasn't a big deal. As a matter a fact they didnt even have a real pic. They had the pic from the Infiniti site of the silver G37. If I'm not mistaken that's a photoshop pic. It looked damn good but I actually thought it was false advertising. The G37 looks good but that photoshop makes it look slightly better than it actually does in real pic's.

 

saw one this weekend on my way out of the milwaukee airport. i was pleasantly surprised.
