Your lucky, hope yours comes in this week and you can start breaking that bad boy in! I called my salesman thursday and he was still telling me first week of September, though I was one of the first orders, oh well. I hope all you guys get "the call" this week!

looks like infiniti.com updated their home page to show off the new G but no-build option.. as that option takes you to the old g35c.

I just spoke to my dealer. He said that, at least for delivery to Columbus, OH the cars arrive at port in Seattle, then travel by train to Chicago, then here. So I'm hoping that if you guys in chi-town get yours this week, mine will only be a day or two behind. Much better than the 31st (fingers really crossed).

I'll be sure to post as soon as I get the call...unless I'm running out the door with my blank check in hand.

Do you know where the other ports are, I think there is one in Texas or maybe Lousiana, but I am not sure, if so, that is probably where mine will come through.

Unfortunately I don't know. It could be that different parts of IL (or other states) may be receiving cars orginating from different ports Anybody have any ideas about this?

If they come in at the Port of Seattle (I'm in Seattle) then why the heck is my dealer telling me "Late September" when I am supposedly in the first shipment?

My dealer is fluffing the timeline I think.

Hmmm...I hope your dealer was overestimating the timeline, otherwise that would suck. If you hear any updates about your delivery time let us know. I think I'll give my dealer a break for the next several days.

OK, I'm REALLY starting to get impatient here. I just want my dang car already!! I'm road tripping down to Ft Campbell, KY on Friday afternoon to spend the weekend with my hubby and a shiny new car would really help out immensely. I'm running out of reasons to call and harrass my salesman.

Mine's arriving late this week or next week. How can it be so difficult to know when a car is arriving?

it's a funny thing about waiting for a car to arrive like this.. esp. when it's a new model. No one i've talked to at my firm has ever waited for a car.. none of my friends or family has ever waited for a car.. maybe a few days for a dealership to transfer one to another but nothing like what we're going through.. or what many of us went through back in 2002/2003. Many of my friends are motorheads who love cars and look at me like i'm crazy for waiting five months... so i expect those of us waiting are in a very very small minority of consumers who do this so tracking a car through the system like fedex would be overkill for infiniti. They already have major milestone tracking (i.e. order, built, transfer, dock etc..) but nothing like what many of us would like to see (i.e. gps tracking from build to delivery)..
