got to test drive g37s

this weekend Sewell Infinit in Dallas had a red G37s and I got to drive it around for about 15 minutes. It was really nice, not too much different though. I didn't hear any pops, clanks, creaks either, lol. I aslo took a ton of pics maybe i'll post late if anyone is interested.

When i first test-drove the G35 i did not hear any clanks, pops or anything either. 16 miles later, here they come!

No no MSRP yet, and it was an auto. Waiting to drive a 6MT before any real judgements on performance. The technology in its really quite amazing and the ride was sporty but more refined. I know my "review" is vague but like I said, I want to wait until I drive the 6MT before I make any real calls on it. Overall though, a very, very elegant car. I think it'll do quite well.

Yes. I think it had pretty much every option available. Sport package, reverse camera, laser controlled cruise control, yeah, it has pretty much everything on it, except the manual tranny :/

Also can you gives us a little more info on how the car felt, does it perform better than the sedan, how does the handling stack up to the current G coupe and if you have test drove a 335i how do they compare.

OK, the deal with the pics is that I'm at work, they are one my cell phone. I connected the USB to my cell phone and computer but it just starts charging the phone instead of connecting to let me download the pics. A friend up here said I have to transfer using Bluetooth. So I'm trying to work it out. Lemme know if you guys have any ideas? Cell phone is MOTO RAZR and computer is Mac running OS 10.3.9.

The car feels like a true luxury car. I am very serious in thinking that this thing will absolutely steal customers away from 3 series bimmer buyers and potential Lexus buyers as well, in the IS camp.

In person, finally, it looks much softer. It is just simply more refined and luxurious looking but because of this more feminine looking (think new Lexus SC models) Sporty? Yes, but still not quite solid sports car. I think men AND women will love it, definitely more women, again, think Lexus SC models. Around here anyway it is by far mostly older women driving them. I am NOT sold on it though.

The way it drives is very smooth and nice. The pick up is strong, even though the salesman told me it is slow, I did not feel it was slow. The cornering seems very solid and tight and the suspension is wonderful. The car is quite, extremely comfortable, reminded me a lot of when I was looking at the Lexus IS series and test drove them. Quick and soft. This is how I would sum it up. Bottom line, its an awesome car, didnt lose any punch but KEEP IN MIND this was an auto, I still cant wait to drive the MT version.

I have NOT been able to drive a 335 yet, been asking for two months. Was last told that they are all preordered and it would probably be Sept. before they had one in to test drive. John Roberts had one in their showroom I got to look at and sit in but they were not allowing test drives at that time, about 1.5 months ago. So sorry, no direct comparison there.

Anyone in the Dallas area, I urge to go up to Sewell and test it out. I have no idea if Crest has one but call and see, Grubbs for our Ft. Worth area friends may have one as well. There was a waiting list when I was there but it was Saturday too.

Thanks for your take on it lekker_droom, sounds like an impressive car. Just wanted to say that that salesmen probably won't be on the job much longer, not sure what kind of sales technique he's using by trying to sell a luxury sport coupe by saying it's slow

LOL, no he sold me my coupe, he's an enthusiast as well and he knows what all I've done to my car and plan to do so it was just a "between you and me" kind of comment.

I'll have these pics for ya'll tomorrow, I've tried everything up here but my phone only charges when i plug it in, have to do it tonight at home and bring them in in the morning.

BTW, it was a red coupe so, hoping for a different color but thats what it was.

Well according to the numbers the MT will feel just like the AT. They are both almost identical in performance.
