^^Yes I do, just a habit. I don't think it's good to depend on the transmission to keep the car stationary. I actually read (which makes sense) that it is a good thing to put your car in neutral and engage the handbrake when parking on the street. If someone hits your car, it would protect the transmission. Especially at lower speeds it could have some benefit I think.

WTF are people crying about? Handbrakes make the car look cheap? Foot brakes are better? hahahahah.

I've driven 07 SEDAN and also thought it was akward, but I got use to it after a while. I think Infiniti is the only one to do this because every other car I have driven had hand brakes. With the exceptions of trucks.

I use e-brake sometimes with autos also. If its a steep hill I'll put it in neutral, apply the e-brake, then put it into park. Keep the pressure on the brakes rather than the tranny.

I got into the habit of using my e-brake on my AT Accord a long time ago, which was nice to carry over to the G since it's my first MT car.

Of course, there are downsides too. Every now and then I'll accidentally try to push on the imaginary clutch and start button on my Accord.

+1... A hand brake may look sportier, but you must remind yourself this is an Infiniti and not a corvette. It's a blend of performance and luxury.

I've had my G for a month and have never used the foot break, it's still a virgin. I've also never parked on a hill, that's the only time I would find it necessary. Personally I think it should automatically be engaged when you put the car in park, and disengaged when you take it out... really why do we need a seperate break. At a minium this coiuld have been done with a button like the automatic Audio S5 does. Parking is parking and a full break would always be nice to have. I guess it's just a fact that they wanted to keep this car under the price of the competition while still delivering a good range of features.. this one got nixed.
