It seems to me that they are dropping all number identification on the G. All the print and TV adds just refer to the 07 sedan as the "G" or "New Infiniti G"

Great a tri-turbo 3.8L would be cool. I'll get one for my trunk and make it push the front wheels!

They are just calling it the G now, so the numers don't really mean anything anymore.

if there's just a 'G' in the upper right hand corner of the trunk, that letter's coming off for sure.

They probably call it the "G series" just like BMW calls it a "3-series" and MB with their "C-class", etc. Just makes sense because no one is going to remember the alpha-numeric crap that all the manufacturers are doing these days.

What ever happened to the days of the 'Skyline' or 'Supra' ... etc. ?

I guess it all started (for the Japanese, at least) with the "Z". That's all that was needed to be said and people knew what you were taking about.

OH YA! THE DEALER ALSO TOLD ME THE SPEC OF THE ENGINE!

inline-14 cylinder version:
Total engine weight: 2300 tons (The crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons.)
Length: 89 feet
Height: 44 feet
Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm
Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm
Displacement: 25,480 liters

Screw all those pansy rumored V8 engine with FI. NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT! especially 25,480 litres of DISPLACEMENT.

Have you heard that it was gonna be a Hybrid Quad_turbo charger with sequential centrifugal and twin-screw aftercharger system in tandem with a zeon industries gas turbine powerplant with afterburners for street use....

it's also got a vector space generator that can pull impulse drives and a enterprise class warp drive for instantaneous travel....

it'll do the 1320 in .01 secs...

it'll probably have time travel capability but that hasn't been tested....

hahaha... love this thread.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there will also be an option for an integrated tractor beam as well.

More than likely, IF AT ALL, it will be supercharged mainly b/c it is easier maintenance and the TT have a high rate of blowing ur engine, esp for u automatic folk, thus the dealership doesn't want to fix/replace engines under the warranty.

These days every car is coming out with a supercharged version of every sports car in the market. It is the cheap way of making cars faster and then they just stick some new performance label on it.
