Regardless....the 08 coupe is going to have to be fast...to compete credibly
with the competion which have put cars out going 0 to 60 in the 4s now.....
If Infiniti doesn't make an effort to get the new coupe in at least the 4s as well...it will lose years of good hype......

I say get the V8 option with a TT keep it under 50k and make it more reliable than the last version.......It will make waves in the Auto industry for decades!!!

It will be nice to see something to finally compete with the M's and AMG's.

I hope it comes with the much anticipated "hover" option and food processor fuel upgrade like in Back to the Future 2.

Why stop there? Give it a spacefold capability with a time travel option....complete with Bill and Ted Time Nav system.

This will be powered by a time/space gravity system able to produce the
energy of twelve galaxies......of course still costing under 50K.

I still want my V8 option with TT........

Why stop there? Give the G coupe a button that will get you laid by the person of your choice whenever if you press it. OH WAIT, IT IS IN THE CURRENT G ALREADY.

The OP would have the last laugh then! HAHA!

Better yet...how about a button that makes you anyone you want to be...like
Superman...then you won't need a car.........

Ummmm maybe not......then you won't get to drive the new coupe...

Actually supercharger doesnt sound as ridiculous as you think.

They decided on producing the GTS 350z with factory supercharger. So If they do offer it for the G35, it'd be pretty awesome.

"...GT-S features a supercharger, bringing output to 382 horsepower from the regular 300 hp. Accordingly, zero to 60 mph takes just 4.8 seconds instead of the usual 5.8. The supercharger will reportedly have an on/off switch."

A tamer version of this V-6, codenamed VQ37HR-TT, will make its way into the upcoming Infiniti G35 Coupe. Key differences between the engines are that the GT-R's VQ will have the twin turbo*chargers, lighter pistons and connecting rods, as well as a beefed-up crankshaft.

All of a sudden this thread gets serious......:lol

I hope...

The GT-R will have awesome stopping power, especially if it wears the same brakes spotted during testing at the Ring. Gold-colored Brembo calipers sparkled in the sun as the GT-R attacked the famed Nordschleife. Upon closer inspection, the fronts appeared to be 6-pot calipers. As for the car's handling, we're pretty sure that it will be all-wheel drive, with a new version of Nissan's ATTESA system. For the record, the car had little trouble negotiating the Carousel at more than 110 mph. Its lap times were reported to be around 8 minutes flat, quite impressive for a test mule on a somewhat crowded track. Could it match or eclipse the Porsche 911 Turbo's time in the 7-minute-40-second range in an all-out effort? The answer awaits us in just a few months. — SM
