Thanks! I took the wheels off a pic of my car, I had my car in almost the exact same position so it was fairly easy to PS them onto here.

[QUOTE=N50]A clay model from Nissan's new global design studio:

Excellent find! Thanks!

It looks like they softened everything I liked about the car to where it isn't too much more than a headlight change and a slight rocker cut line. Hopefully that isn't the case because the "broad shoulders" and dramatic rockers was what I liked best about the car (and what I was disappointed didn't make the sedan) --and they seem to be missing in that clay model. Plus, the rear fender flares seem to be reduced -- another potential disappointment.

I really, really hope they don't change anything from this view:

Rampant,

I agree. When I first saw the clay model I really liked it. Then I started to analyze the clay model vs. the concept much like you seem to be doing. Looking at the clay model from this angle it looks good no doubt, but it almost looks too, dare I say it....G6 like. The front even seems toned down except for the headlights and I too noticed that the fender flares seem to be reduced. That was one of the first things I noticed when comparing photos. Like you, Rampant, I don't see the overwhelming aggressiveness that I saw in the concept. Its still looks very good and it will sell regardless but I didn't think they would change it from the concept this much.

that really sucks...they took all the hard body lines from it. i loved the aggressive look and it seems to be gone. i hope the interior doesn't change much...

Not really. You just need to play with folder masking and levels. The problem is black cars don't show much detail. (here's my 2 minute job)

The full scale model is awesome. I think a few of you are too quick to judge. as an architecture/ automotive design student, i work with models every day, and just want to say that after analyzing the pic of the model with the coupe concept pics, they are identical. the clay model is decieving as it does not establish final details that are essential to the way that the car reads. the silver "polished aluminum" color chosen on the coupe concept accentuates the lines of the car and if one really looks into detail the size of specific portions of the car is identical just unfinished and sitting 3" off the ground which again decieves the fact that the car still retains the wide stance. the wheels on the model also do not help as they are not offset to be even with the fender. this is all my opinion though, cant wait to see some more process photos as this progresses. The details are truly what makes the coupe concept one of the best concept cars that i have ever seen. hope the real thing looks just as good

Good job! Looks amazing... too bad I would never buy a black car unless it was garaged...
