These headunits were used in just about every Nissan/ Infiniti from 2008-2015 +/-. What vehicle and specifically what packages were "offered" determined how the headunit was configured at the factory.
The #1 (your pic) is for the USB inputs- front and rear. I "believe" the rear USB was for those non-G models that had the headrest monitors (FX maybe?) but I am not 100% certain on that.
The "#8" (your pic) is for the Bose "Studio on Wheels" (or whatever marketing tagline Infiniti used) 5.1 channel audio system that was offered on the M's and later Q/QX models.

Thank you, very much appreciated! I wonder if number 2 can be used for USB instead of number 1.
I am experiencing intermittent usb going over bumps. I am wondering if it is the jack for number 1. If so, I am hoping that using jack number 2 might solve the problem. This all assumes that the problem is not the connection from the jacks to the board.
Being they are solely inputs I would imagine both are "active." However, I just do not know for certainty if the head unit will "recognize" or "differentiate" one from the other.
