Just bought this car after wanting one for years and I already have those dreaded marks on the roof from when the top is stowed. I am wondering if anyone has an opinion on whether or not a clear protective wrap would help protect the roof from that damage? It was suggested I replace the bumpers it rests on in the trunk and I am looking into that, even though the car only has 44k miles on it. I have also wondered about taping a thin piece of rubber to those areas before putting the top down. (Ridiculous that one has to give this a thought on a 50+thousand dollar car even) Anyone have any thoughts on these ideas please?

 

Thinking about it quickly, you could try some felt on top of the rubber bumpers in the trunk. Like the kind that go on the bottom of chair legs is what I was thinking. Yes, for the price tag of this car i don't think there was much thought in to the top
