Hi guys, recently the cruise control on my 2010 convertible stopped working, it turns on and off, i can see the cruise coming on the dashboatd but when i press set or resume it doesnt do it it. I put a scanner and it said not equipped. I know it is because i have the car for 6 years and i use cruise control. Anyone has any idea what it could be???

 

Does your car have the "Intelligent Cruise Control" (ICC) or the standard, fixed speed system. In other words, do you have this button:


If so, there is a distance sensor under the front, driver-side bumper that can get dirty and cause the cruise control to not set.

If not, then the issue gets tricky to diagnose.

 

No it doesnt, but i found out the isssue, where the cruise contril sensor sits on the breakf pedal, the plastic there is broken

 

Broken switch - that will be a easy and inexpensive fix. Good news indeed.
