What's the market like

Thinking of making some changes and letting go of the G is one of them. I'm seeing prices all over on these things. What is the consensus on a 75k mile 2011 G very with the Factory "S", technology and premium packages going for on the open market? I've seen them for anything from 12-20k, but that doesn't say what they are actually selling for.

I got a trade in offer of $10,200 which I thought was really low and walked away.

Recently sold a 2010 with 60k base model granted had a handful of mods sold for nearly 20k don’t settle for a trade. Try to sell privately.

Agreed. This is a sellers' market. 16k minimum, imo. I heard carvana is giving good cash to people as well. You can also try carmax - heard it's gotten better.

I tried carvana and they were closer to 10k clearly they didn’t account for the modifications done to the car. Even without worth way more.

Thanks for the help guys. Carvana is definitely not interested in these cars, my number from them was worse than trade in. So my financial guy says sell so I'll put it out there. I'm thinking that I'll start at $17500 on trader or Facebook marketplace.

I had mine listed here and on offerup, I don’t have Facebook or would’ve probably listed it on their marketplace. Surprisingly enough I met a wonderful person that was buying the car for his son and within a few weeks we had the deal done. I don’t believe you’ll get over 20k but close to it for sure. Don’t settle the right buyer will come along if they truly appreciate the rarity of these verts

Sometimes those accidental meetups are the best thing. I'm hoping for good weather this weekend to get some photos. It's been a great car, but we are just trying to declutter. Too many engines to keep up.

Mine was a Covid project. Brought the car back to life from the condition I bought it in. You could check my build thread on the other forum. My wife then said it just sits there just sell it. So you know how the story goes happy wife happy life and then it was gone. Still miss it though.

Similar deal. I fixed the roof while recuperating from heart surgery. I've had fun but now selling this and my land Rover. Going back to a pick for pulling.

It's about as fully loaded a G as I've ever seen. All packages, even the interior wood. No brushed aluminum.

Just be patient and don’t stray too far from the number you have in your head. You’ll get it trust me. There’s still a great following of younger folk with this car.

The 'Vert will always command a premium because they are few and far between. It was 75° yesterday, once warmer weather is here to stay, interest in your car will increase. Will you be including the Consult tool with the sale? If so, you can add that cost to your (private sale) asking price.

Oh if either one of you guys is selling their consult, let me know. I'm in no rush right now, but have a feeling that I'll need one sooner or later.
