In the middle of installing sound deadening in trunk and back seat area. I have the trunk gutted and bottom of back seat out.
But, I can seem to see how the back of the back seat detaches and comes out.
I have found a couple of posts/vids that show the coupe and sedan, but not the vert....and we got a LOT more going on back there so don't want to FUBAR the thing.
Not sure how helpful this will be, but the following is from the 2010 factory manual:
It appears there are just two (2) nuts on top and two (2) bolts on the bottom. Once removed the seatback gets lifted up and out.
You can download the manual for your car here. Section SE is for the seats.
Keep us updated on how the sound deadening goes. May be my next project on the car. With the top up it sounds like a bucket of bolts hitting a pothole here in NY.
OK....turns out to be a LOT easier then I expected.
It's just the 2 bottom bolts ILM-NC G37Sshowed above (not the nuts) and push up....a lot. The roll bar cover some up with the seat back so you have to lift fairly high to get them over and off the roll bars. (be careful not to damage speakers when maneuvering both the back and bottom of the seat)
This will allow you to pull the seat back forward to work behind the back. If you need to remove the back completely from the car, you need to also:
Remove the seatbelt escutcheons (plastic piece surrounding the seatbelt where it goes through the top side of the back of the seat)
Bolt holding bottom of belt to floor
Feed belt and escutcheon through hole in the seat where seatbelt goes through seat.
Reinstallation tip:
Bolts at bottom of seat back are meant to be installed a little loose to allow the back to slide up during installation of seat bottom and back down when bottom is installed.
