Wondering if anyone can help. My top broke and after replacing the motor and control module behind the back seat it still won’t work. The Infintiy dealer had it and can not figure out what’s wrong with it. Anyone have similar issues?

The codes I was given by the dealer were
B1707 roof open state
B1708 roof close state
B1731 hydraulic state
B174B P shelf state 5
C1109 battery voltage

if I try to put the top down the back shelf
goes down half way and then stops. It won’t go back up unless I turn the car off. The nothing happens. Doesn’t make any noises at All. The dealer told me it needed a new motor which I had put in and brought it back to them to re time but they said it still didn’t work.

Can I ask why you didn’t let the dealer do all the work......from reading your post it sounds like you had the parts fitted elsewhere.....

The dealer gave me a quote of $12,000 to attempt to fix it. $8000 for the new motor and $3000 for a new control module and $1000 in other charges. Also they couldn’t guarantee me it would work. I bought the motor off eBay for $600 and the module for $250. They were both tested and worked before they were installed. The dealer wouldn’t install ot search for used parts. Maybe it’s just me but $12000 to “attempt” to fix it was absurd.

In that case I understand why!!
If that happened to mine I’d treat it a coupe and just forget about repairing it, hopefully it never will
