Airbag Occupancy Sensor emulator install in Vert seat
So I had recently been experiencing the dreaded airbag occupancy sensor failure in the passenger seat of my 2009 G37 Convertible, and instead of paying the ludicrous fee for the fix at a dealership decided to order one of those occupancy sensor emulators and install that. After receiving my emulator from airbag360 I then went to perform the installation per the instructions I had, and it was at this point that I realized the instructions I was seeing everywhere were not going to work. This ended up being because apparently the location of the plug is different in the convertible seats due to the ventilation system. No amount of searching turned up someone else having tackled this problem, so in the name of correcting that issue I've decided to let my pain be someone else's gain.
If you're a convertible owner that is trying to install an occupancy sensor emulator so that your passenger will be safe and actually get an airbag in the event of a collision then let this photo be an indicator of where that sensor is located. All of the instructions I had were having me look at the back of the seat which was just a bunch of plastic and intake fan for the ventilation system. Instead I ended up unbolting the seat and finding out that I probably could've reached it without having to do all that work. It was right up front.
***Edit for clarification***
The yellow arrow points to where I believe the connector originally sat in the seat(It's been almost a year, and I did the job in a rush, so I can't remember exactly). The red box is the connector dangling after I plugged it into the emulator for testing. Once it passed I slipped the emulator up in between some of the padding and bracing where I presume it still resides(I have since sold the car and now drive a Q50 Hybrid).

Air bag G37 convertible.
Okay, I bring in the G37 for routine maintenance and pick up the car and the airbag light won’t stop blinking on the dash. Dealer and district manager say they did nothing wrong and if you want it fixed it will cost you around $7 grand.😤. Really!!!! Anyone out there with any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m sick over this. I’m the original owner of this 2010 G37 sport convertible with only 28,000 miles. Help anyone?? Thank You very much.

2013 G37 vert. My red airbag light started blinking this past Sunday (May 13, 2018). The passenger airbag OFF light is also illuminated all the time. I brought the car to the dealer, and they confirm the sensor needs to be replaced. And further, that the entire bottom of the front passenger seat must be replaced. Amazingly the airbag system along with all of the related sensors and controls are covered under the power train warranty. 6yr/70K. I'm just under 6 years, and I'm at 60K. I'm fully covered. As others have pointed out, this is a $7000 fix. I'm pretty sure I would've just jumped the sensor if I wasn't covered.

Infinity G37 M37 G35 Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR EMULATOR
I had the same issue. when you put in the bypass in it thinks someone is sitting shotgun so the seatbelt light stays on, but you can just pull out the connector as shown in the photo and the light goes out.

Question about image...
Thank you for adding a photo. I was looking at the front of the seat on my convertible and having trouble figuring out which one of those it was. They are hard to see without pulling the seat out. Can you please clarify that it is the one on the right that is dangling that is where you added the emulator? It is not entirely clear from your image. Thanks very much!
