I just have clear wrap on front bumper, hood, mirrors.I live in Canada and they put a lot of rock down in winter.Front end took a beating with rock chips.all painted, all good

That's a pic with the clear film on it.Just have to wax it or it will go yellow in time..As far as a full car wrap I couldn't be much help.Expensive to wrap a whole car I have heard.

If you do a wrap over the existing chips, it will show through since vinyl is designed to conform over whatever it's going on top of.

Check out my DIY. If you only plan to wrap your bumper, the color will most definitely look a bit off (kind of like going to Maaco and telling them to paint it "black"). A full wrap will run you about $500 worth of materials and 20 hours of semi-frustrating labor. As for existing chips, vinyl hides imperfections well but chunks of missing paint and dings will show.

My car is fully wrapped in Satin Black and I love it even though the amount of dust it accumulates is insane lol

So, Cereal2k has done just about everything on the 'vert. I think he started with wrapping the top, then wrapped the rest of the car. Here's his page you can look at. I don't think he's updated it in a while. You should reach out to him for 'vert specific wrap questions. I too am thinking about getting a wrap, but it'll be a while :-/

Dang, that sucks. You had dual (front and rear) dash cams when I saw you at the 2016 MyG37.com meet in Gouldsboro, right? Hoping you caught the idiot who vandalized your car ...
