My top totally stopped working, and had a terrible rattle in the latch area.

I took it to the dealer who and the diagnosed a broken latch assembly. The entire assembly including both side latches, part# 97096-JJ50A. Dealer says they have never had to replace this in the past.

Infiniti wants, gulp, $2900 for the part. Dealer is going back to infiniti to see if they can give a break, dealer is also trying to see if they can give a break.

I think I found the part on ebay for under $1000.


Has anyone had to replace this?
