Without a doubt yes if you plan to keep the car past the warranty of 60k/4 years.

I did 100k/7 years

Get the warranty!

I just purchased one in November 2015. Just as a precaution I bought the warranty with NO HESITATION. I don't want to pay out of pocket for expensive repairs and my convertible only had 32,400 miles. Its just smart.

If you don't buy it you'll be back on this forum bashing the dealership when they don't t fix it when you have issues. It's your responsibility to look after your own best interests.

Got the Elite

I wound up purchasing the Elite from Scottsdale Infiniti for 3yr/36k. Cost $1550 which I thought was reasonable. Now I don't have to worry...😋

I bought the "best" extended warranty Allstate offer. Within 4 months it has already paid for itself. Hell almost double.

I regretted it for the first month I had the car. But they replaced the head unit, the Bluetooth system, master clutch cylinder, and I think something else.

But yes happy I have it!

I'm sitting in the dealership getting my oil changed and ask for a quote. For $100 deductible they quote the following

48month 47,000 miles: $3,029
48 month 60,000 miles: $3,319
60 month 60,000 miles: $3,709

These seem high. Any one else see pricing?

2011 g37 vert with 42,000 miles.

yeah, that's about right here in Dallas... it spikes a bit more after 40k... I luckily had ~8mo warranty left on my '11, and had EVERYTHING looked at and replaced everything possible (had a really cool service rep)... anyways, I sat down with the F&I guy, read over the entire contract while having work done, took a copy of the pricing guide and contract home.

I'm ~39k now, and need to buy sometime this week BEFORE I hit 40k. Saves me a few hundred. Going with 60/60.

Get the warranty!!!

Get the warranty! Its peace of mind and it will save you thousands out of pocket. You never buy a used vehicle not knowing the history without getting a warranty. Make sure the warranty will cover the convertible top if you have a convertible top. There are three different levels of the extended warranty and the most expensive one will cover a convertible top motor. Enjoy your g37!

How about this for alternative thinking to save money.

What's an escalator when it breaks? Stairs

What's a convertible G37 when the top breaks? A coupe

I'm obviously joking, lol

That's about a thousand more than I paid. I went with 60 month. I bought the car with 42k and I'm in Dallas.

...also, you don't HAVE to go through Infiniti, despite their fear mongering.
"Infiniti's" extended warranty is just an Allstate extended warranty... so just shop it around, and there you have it.

Another extended that some Infiniti dealers offer are underwritten by CNA. All that's important is that it covers the convertible top. CNA is a better buy, BUT their terms are restrictive (I think they capped at 48/48)
