question about 2011 g37 convertable

Hello
My name is Clay
This is my first time on this board
I have a 2011 g37 convertable with about 42000 miles
this maybe a stupid question but here goes
when I park the car , shut the engine off, open the door and get out, I hear a churp churp sound about evry 30 seconds that seems to last about 5 minutes then quits
I have had my car about year and I dont remember it doing that
Is that normal? what could it be
I called infinity and they said the convertable top probably wasnt closed all the way, so I closed the top again and it still makes that noise
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Mine has done the same beeping for the top, so if a full up down cycle does not stop the beeping, the other possibility is a window reset. I had to do this as well after disconnecting the battery. Heres the steps:
1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.--- 2. Close the door.--- 3. Open the window completely by operating the power window switch.-- 4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.--- 5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete. --- 6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.

Hope this helps!

i had the same thing happened to me after battery died. I brought it to the dealer and they got it fixed. I don't know what they did but I no longer have the beeping.

My 2009 G37 Convertible was beeping after I put the top and I re-calibrated the windows and it went away. Just roll each window down and hold the up cycle for 3 seconds like is says above.

Yup, this is the common solution with modern coupes. My Porsche Cayman is the same, once the battery is reconnected, you have to reset the windows in the same manner. You also have to start the car, turn it off and wait 3 minutes so the ABS, TPS, and traction control resets or you get warning lights until you drive a mile or so.

Now the other process that can trigger the beeping is that you turn off the car before you put it in park-my wifes Santa Fa does this not sure why. I don't know if our verts do this though.

Update: tried it yesterday and it only beeped twice and a dashboard warning light came saying put it Park. Tried my wife's Mommy Chariot and it just beeped until I restarted the SUV!
