Question Infiniti vert Wind Deflector

Ok, I had the empty case and instruction card for the deflector, but the deflector itself was not in there. So I ask the dealer and he said, oh well, I can sell you one...575 bucks, are you kinding me?? So I'm asking, are they worth the money? How often will I really use it? and I was wondering, I have the Sport version. I was told that it may have come with one when new, but I was also told that only way to get one was to purchase through the dealer. Ebay has them cheaper, but I was just wonderin'

Since first getting my drivers license, I have always owned at least 1 convertible. Personally, I find the wind deflector very useful. Before buying one for my 09 Vert, I thought that the wind noise wasn't very bad at all however, since picking one up on eBay (like 3 years ago), I never drive without it! It completely eliminates any buffeting and significantly reduces noise - but, thankfully not too much because I love the sound of the sport exhaust. Only you can decide if it is "worth the money" but, I can tell you that it works, it is useful and you will be thankful you have it!

PS -
Enjoy your new Vert!

I just ordered the wind deflector off Ebay ($300 + $25 shipping). I am 6' 5" tall and with the top down, I feel the turbulence on the very top of my head. I'm hoping the wind deflector helps me and my height problem! I've had the car for almost 2 months now and have only had the top down on the 3 nice days we had in New Jersey.

The same guys put it up every two to three weeks for about the same amount. $275 - $300 (plus shipping) is as low as I see it go. Glad you didn't outbid me, $300 was my limit

6'4" here, same issue. I wear a hat for sun shade for my eyes and that makes it worse, after a couple of hours of driving I have to take the hat off because the buffeting gives me a headache.

LOVE the wind deflector, great buy. However it won't help with the air on top of the head, that's coming over the windscreen, not from behind you. The deflector will keep the wind for cycling in behind you and blowing on your arms.

This guy on Ebay wants $350 (free shipping) but will also take a best offer. Try to lowball him? The screen has a small tear.

DO NOT BUY a ripped wind deflector unless you plan on swapping the fabric!

Haha, i did try, I offered 225 with the thought of having it repaired by a pro. He told me the lowest he would go is 325. I told him good luck.....the search goes on....I will not pay the 500 bucks, no way. How about those clear lexan ones you see on ebay for 120? Look cheesy, but if they work, what the heck

Anyone have a video of how to assemble the wind deflector? I just received mine, but it looks a bit involved? I don't want to mangle the thing!

I have one and did a video to show it working. Reduces the wind quite a bit.
