This also happen to me today. I stopped it and turned it off many times and the top would not open or close. The beeping sound was on for 20 minutes but I had to get some where and then it went off. Im taking it to the dealer on Monday. Hope this doesn't happen again. Did your car get fixed and does it still have issues ?

 

The dealer said that they couldn't find anything wrong. Next time it does it I would suggest driving straight there and letting them see it first hand. Mine never did it again. I just sold it 2 weeks ago, so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

I agree, don't give up on the vert. I love my 2011 vert. I know of BMW and Mercedes vert owners that had top problems too. Also, I'm on a couple other G37 vert forums and I think, overall, a small percentage of owners have experienced problems with the convertible top.

 

My 2010 Vert Had similar issues 2 yrs ago. Battery can get run down after 5 or so years esp with xtra stresses of top movement. New battery was recommended and solved issue
