3003 mile road trip in the vert

Just made a trip across the country from socal to South Florida in the vert, im actually surprised how well it did. I averaged 23.2mpg with all freeway miles, most of them "over" the posted speed limit. Not one squeak or rattle from the roof the entire trip, but the same buzzing sound from the instrument cluster as my 08 coupe. The only odd thing I noticed is the cruise control won't engage above 90 (Texas speed limit is 80).

I can see you trying to get infiniti to fix that. "I don't know what's wrong, I got it to 120mph, but when I hit set, the cruise control doesn't work, and the speed rating on the tires is that high."

Did you try setting it at a lower speed, then use the increase button to get it to go higher?

Yep, I tried that and it stops at 90. I never used cruise in my last two coupes since traffic in CA sucks. I'm fine with it not working above 90 since I don't plan on crossing texas again.

I do miss the sport seats from my coupe but the air con seats are nice trade off. They could use a little extra padding at the aft edge of the bottom cushion though.

That's awesome. I've done the DC to Chicago trip twice so far (750 miles each way) in the vert. I averaged around 27 mpg, and also had no squeaks or rattles.

I moved to FL, plus I had driven my Titan across last year. 16mpg on the highway in that pig. I negated a dozen or so prius's with that trip.

How much of the trip did you have the top down? I'm thinking of taking a longer road trip with the top down and wind deflector up. Wondering how it works at 85 MPH?
