This is my opinion...the hardtop convertibles are gonna make noise and most likely only get worse with time.
That's a lot of weight folded up in the trunk and the only way to keep it noise free would be to use motors and other mechanisms so big and strong they would be too heavy to use on the car.
I think having a convertible, hardtop or soft top, has it's noise issues that an owner will just have to deal with and understand that is part of owning a convertible.
Again, just my opinion...
