Windscreen operation

The windscreen seems to flop over at highway speeds or in anything more than a light breeze at lower speeds. Is anyone else having this problem or am I doing something incorrectly?

mine usually flops down with a strong gust of wind. I've driven to 130km/h and it didn't flop over... I find that if you pull it forward on both sides (not just one side say the driver side since thats where you are) or from the centre, it does help to stay up better.

No problem

I've never had that problem, even on the most windy of days here in North Texas. However, I only use it in the up position with all side windows up. It doesn't serve much purpose otherwise.

Let me start with HELLO & WELCOME!

2nd - I have had that issue only occasionally when passing/overtaking large trucks on the highway when the air turbulence changes rapidly from low pressure in the rear to a burst of low pressure from the front as I pass by the vehicle which has caused it to flop down.

If you are having trouble keeping it up, I would seek professional assistance!

I've never had any problem either been using since 2009. However, I have cleaned it few times - was surprised at how much dust came off the the screen. I always use it with all windows up with roof open.

What lier200a said. High cross winds will push it down also. I am however looking for any solution to have it snapped into place or re-enforced with something like an L bracket for the windy times.

Windscreen fabric may tear if you put L-bracket and continue to drive in high cross winds!

Well, placement would be in the center area. The trick would be to secure it to the top side and flat side of the windscreen. Just need something to block the hinge to prevent closing in a high wind situation....... to keep it up (That's for bschurr)

Not exactly. I have no problem getting it up or having it stay up but, on rare occasion if it gets blown wrong it quickly flops down.
