Midnight Garnett and Athens Blue for 2011

So these colors are no longer offered for 2011, with Athens Blue being replaced by Lapis Blue. Anyone know why?

Not sure why they discontinued the Midnight Garnet, maybe because of the Malbec Black offering. I thought the Midnight Garnet looked great on the convertible.

I'm guessing sales for the MG were low but then was limited so I guess time ran out. I also do like that color.

I can only speculate...to make the color rarer:>! or demand wasn't high for the color or not a very popular color with female Infiniti car owners.

Infiniti did same by dropping Caribbean Blue(B16) from for G35 coupe after 2003 (first year of production) as these colors were most used in their sales catalogs/advertising.https://www.myg37.com/forums/images/smilies/4.gif

I did too

I'm glad they discontinued it. I like being only one of two in my are to have one (The owner of my dealership bought the same car for his wife). I have a gray accord and I swear I see one every third or fourth car I pass.

I had some fender damage fixed/painted by a body shop that ended the transaction by telling me they won't even try to paint AB G's any more after their experience with mine.

They said the factory paint code resulted in a really poor match. (My car is barely 6 months old and is kept garaged.)

Maybe Infiniti got too many similar body/paint shop complaints on those colors???
