Stupid question about a stupid problem...

I have no idea how it happened but I was walking towards my car and noticed that the fake vent on the drivers side of the bumper was somehow punched out. Luckily I looked in where the vent should have been and it was lying in the splash shield. Here is the problem. There doesn't seem to be a way to clip it back into place without removing the front bumper. If anyone has any easy fix ideas they would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortuantely you going to have to take the front bumper off it is held in by clips that are only accessed from within

You don't have to take the bumper off. Just jack the car up and go through the wheel well. Much easier than removing the front bumper.

Good grief. I don't know why I didn't think of that. And I've done that for the headlights. Sorry

To take the headlights out I think you still have to take the front bumper off, but to just change bulbs the wheel well works great.

You dont have to take the front bumper off. That's what I was saying. I went through the wheel well to change headlight. It just sliped my mind that to access the front bumper area is easy through. I guess working all day today fried my brain.

You're too used to removing your bumper several times a week...

Haha. Maybe. Now that the supercharger is finished, no more removal.

Either way. the bumper is really not hard to remove. Your choice..

you don't need to take bumper off to install Stillen gen3 intakes

YouTube - Stillen Gen3 Ultra Long Intake installed on 2007 G35 Sedan V36 (VQ35HR)

may have to rethink the stillens now that I see there is cutting involved... thx for the link to the vid... anything out there less invasive intake wise? I had put the injen CAI on my g35 when I had that and i loved it (other than being slightly worried when south florida summer monsoons started)

I know, I sorta hijacked my own thread

r2c doesnt involve cutting but you are sucking in that hot air from the engine bay. Its really not to big of a deal to cut those pieces out.
