I understand that. "break even" is when the car is worth the loan and not upside down...which just adds that value to your new car. I don't get paying $4,000 to get out of a car. That's around 8 months of payments.

Dealers are in business to make money and they won't do the deal if it doesn't benefit them

and you'll get more/heavier car about due to fordable roof mechanism and it's lot more fun...
