I GUESS YOUR POST DIDNT GET TO HIM. HE WENT AND LEFT ME TWO NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS, RIGHT OFF THE BAT ON MY EBAY ACCOUNT. AND WENT AND POSTED ON HERE FALSE ACCUSATIONS. -(vipin, you spent almost a thousand dollars on my products in total- why no ebay disputes? why no paypal disputes?) - IF YOU RESOLD MY ITEMS, AND YOUR CUSTOMERS DIDNT LIKE THEM AND FOUND THEM DEFECTIVE- IM SURE NO ONE WOULD THROW OUT $300-$500 IN A "LESSON LEARNED" TYPE OF THING. YOUR A LIAR.
Two forum members already placed an order. LETS SEE IN A WEEK OR TWO WHO THE REAL LIAR IS!
JUST TO PROVE YOU WRONG VIPIN- IM GOING TO UNDER-PRICE YOU ON THE SPOILERS (THAT YOU USED TO BUY FROM ME- AND THEN RESELL FOR $500++) for $180 to the first 5 people, just to prove how big of a reselling scam artist you really are.

Since I started this post (almost a year ago) and it's still active today even though there are multiple multiple threads on this.... I'd like to leave you guys with a few pictures before this thread gets closed and locked permanently.

OEM spoiler installed from Infiniti dealership

looks 100% better than the long antenna, 0 issues with radio reception, don't have XM so couldn't tell you.... regardless of where you get it from, definitely a worthwhile investment. Thanks for looking.

Yes, agree- I installed in Aug 2010 my self on my car which gave me insight about the spoiler.

Now you can close this thread- probably longest running thread on the forum.

Having to drill holes is stopping me.

How does the kit seal the trunk lid from rust?

The trunk is made of aluminum not steel and you apply sealant (paint/nail polish) post drilling the holes, then install grommets in the holes.

Does anyone know how to tell if a spoiler was one of the defective lot someone mentioned awhile ago? I just bought one from a seller on ebay for about $70, and I'm now concerned that it may be from the defective lot (warpage issue). I'm hoping someone can tell me if there was a different part number so I can check the one I have. Or, could someone tell me who a reliable authority on this issue would be to contact. Thanks, Russ

holy thread revival

According to Infiniti, all of these OEM duck bill spoilers were "defective" and were not to be sold, installed & warrantied via the dealerships.

The defects were not related to warpage but rather a concern that the added weight that the spoilers added to the trunk lid would cause mechanical issues. That said, I have had mine installed for 4 years with no issues. Full disclosure - my Vert is not my DD & I probably open/close my trunk less than 20 times/yr.
