Smile Latest mod

So thanks to a fellow member here, I picked up a lil black box from KP Technologies that now allows my passengers to use the Navigation and Phone functions while I concntrate on driving. Very handy!

details! Where'd you get it and how much? That function would be AWESOME. You can't even program a destination on your Navi without having the car in complete stop! Totally ridiculous.

KP Technolgies. I think Black Betty may even be a distributor for them.

I have the NI35 from KP Technologies

I bought the unit from another member here who picked it up for his 2008 Coupe but never installed it. I contacted Kevin Pierson @ KP to confirm compatibility for the convertible but he had no experience with the new car from Infiniti. I can confirm that the connections that need to be made are identical to the 2007+ coupe instructions and the wiring harnesses that you need to access are identical. Installation is fairly straight forward but if you have any concerns about your soldering skills, I suggest that you contact KP for a core swap for an extra $20.

You don't need that module, it can be done with $5 of Radioshack parts too. Not only that, you can use 100% of the navi and phone and all hidden menu's are accessible

+1

I did it with a $5 switch and a couple feet of wire. Very very simple.
