sounds more like stupidity to me. Just a lot of money more to drive around on hot muggy days or days where the weather is a lot worse. Oh well.... coupe time.

someone make an average age thread for the convertible and you'll see the median age jump up. I'm sure I'll get a few high school kids getting some soon enough. Some 17 year old girl locally here has a new yellow Camaro, one just got a SL550, and a 16yo I sold her a brand new G37x sedan since daddy said she just got her permit and that's her car

That's insane my kid's first car will be out back-up 94 Accord. Most people always wreck their first car.

I just traded my 08 black on black 6mt coupe for a convertible... I had to option to re-lease the same old yet new 2010 coupe 6mt or auto sport/premium but decieded on something different and unique.

When the summer comes around I will be turnin heads and cruisin.. No need to fly around the neighborhood like a little kid.

No I don't take it in the ***, and I don't suck ****.. This much is for sure, when my ride is clean and polished out I will get more then enough attention from the women..

Ill post pictures up tomorrow when it arrives.. TO Original poster, goodluck either way.

coupe is 36k starting and vert is about 44k an 8k price diff dont know where you are getting 10-11k from.. your comparing most likely an invoiced 41k price from a dealer to a MSRP price of a vert

finally someone who makes sense lol i am coming out of a 08 black loaded G37S coupe and am going to get a black loaded S vert.. everyone cries bout "400 more pounds!!" honestly who gives a **** about that what are you worried about it being a little bit slower and a little less handling you must be immature kids racing around like fast and furious lol the car has 325 hp which is more than enough power.. also ppl call it a ladies car? thats fine with me cause alot of guys buy nice cars to impress the ladies so why not this car which you all claim the ladies LOVE? This car will get the ladies attention where ever you go which is what most guys want and they will want to ride with you. I also think a black on black vert with rims lowered, tinted out is def not a girls car. I think the vert is actually nicer with the top up over the coupe because the vert doesnt have that pillar which separates the back and front windows it kinda makes it look like a CLS's window style .. also is no blind spot there like the coupe

Agreed, don't get me wrong now I loved having fun shifting through the gears, and flying hard around corners, but after seeing a billion coupes in my neck of the woods its get old real fast.

On the other hand if it was an M3, GTR or something next level fast its coupe all the way.

The convertible is a nice car, handles well and is fast. Is the coupe faster, yes, is the coupe stiffer, yes...does the coupe have the ability to have the top go away...no. I love the B-pillar less windows and the look of the top down.

People who say it's all about weight also buy cheap heavy wheels that look like they are race wheels but add 25lbs per wheel (that's 100lbs) and since it takes 4x the energy to rotate mass ...it's the same as 400lbs of top.

The old coupe vs convertible vs sedan debate. This is hilarious. I suspect the coupe guys secretly really want the vert though .
In my opinion, you should get what you want to drive and what you will be happy with. Coupe for the win and vert for the win (Sedans and AWD too if that's practical).

I've owned/driven a coupe (first car in school was an '83 celica), still own a 03 G35 sedan and now the vert. Been there, done that in terms of car styles, and now it's the time of the hard top vert.

The vert is growing on me, but it's not my cup of tea. A modded vert is hot, but stock it just doesn't do it for me.
