A question to the community. Does 2010 car need to be smogged in order to be sold, if both buyer and seller are in California? If yes, then who should do this?

Heres the rule , a car needs to be smogged to be sold in california ,except it is with in 6 yrs from manufacture date . On the 6th year of registration the car will need to be smogged by the seller every other yr there on as part of the registration. 2010-2015 is 5 yrs car is still not required to be smogged to be sold or registered. All diesel vehicles are not required to be smogged. Also when selling a car to a dealership the car does not have to be smogged..Hope this helps the community when buying or selling a car in california.
