The EX is too small and the FX's design is too controversial. Furthermore, none of them are great sellers for Infiniti.
If it's not replacing the EX where exactly in the lineup would this JX be going and what would be the point of another crossover?

I think this is the same garbage that BMW did with GT... and its all bull****.. they are better and doing a 600hp FX.. or a 450hp G sedan... this crossover territory wont last long

yeah build a high horsepower vehicle in this market so they can take a loss on it?
I know lots of people who are crying because their Ferrari's and exotics are losing value by the second and taking a hit on them. It's not the right place and time to create a production model in that range (i.e. - resale value of the ML63 or X5 M's)
The Ex35 is too small for a family of 5, FX with a 3rd row is what people really want.

Lexus sold 8,600 RX's last month and Infiniti has nothing to compete with it. You don't think it is worthwhile to compete against it properly? The EX and FX don't cut it.
Let me put that into perspective for you. The RX by itself outsold the entire Audi brand in March 2011.

If da Mayor is right and the JX is slotted above the FX then it won't be a direct competitor to the RX. It would probably compete with the Audi Q8 and Mercedes GL.
I don't think Infiniti needs a 60k crossover SUV. Sure they could use one to fill out their lineup. Is it mandatory over a flagship coupe or sedan? I'm not sure.

Based on the letter denomination I m guessing that it will be placed between the FX and QX. Its too early like or dislike it but I like the idea of a vehicle in that segment. I always thought the QX was too big and wished the FX had more cargo space. This may just meet the needs of my growing family.

EX should have been a G25/37 hatch and should have been designed as such, not the EX that's hardly selling.
I would have LOVED a G37S 6MT hatch. For 42k, if properly designed, I would have bought that instead.
EX 37S 6MT anyone?
