In the next 6 to 12 months many things will change in Infiniti~land. Never the one to rest idlely by, Nissan's premium automobile manufacturer has it's sites set on a very aggressive future for the design and technology it will embrace and promote. Infiniti has it's pipeline chocked full of new models and exciting options for you.

Over the next 12 months you will see:

a new '09 G-series sedan with the coupe's 3.7 liter engine and a new name; the G37 sedan with 320 horsepower and a 7 speed transmission.

a new coupe model for 2009 which offers an all wheel drive version for ther very first time !

There is very likely going to be a car smaller than the G series coming soon, but it is very top secret at the moment,...more later !

Next spring, Infiniti will offer it's first convertible G-37 coupe ever. Expect the retractable hardtop to cause many an Infiniti lover to get in line to buy,...as there will be limited production and more demand than supply for quite some time. It is absolutely gorgeous!!!

I just want the '09 to be updated with:

self healing paint;
washi interior door handles;
7AT;
Full voice/Nav controls, not the stripped, bare-*** voice controls.
Include the TSB's from the '08

They can keep the AWD, don't need the extra weight or the AWD system in tropical climate. NEVER SNOWS DOWN HERE IN SOUTH TX!!

 

^Same goes for the AWD down here in SoCal. I always look at the people funny when they're driving G35X's down here.

 

I heard the same thing from my dealer last week....convertible, 7AT, and mini-G

 

The mini-G news definitely backs up the rumours we've been hearing for a year or so about a 1-series fighter. I haven't heard yet if they committed to a coupe body style over a crossover style.

I don't think it will be a crossover style since they will most likely be using the platform for the new Silvia.

 

jeez, first I was holding out for the 09 AWD, then it was the G Coupe convertible that I want, now I learn they might be coming out with a smaller coupe (which is something I'd defintly want) jeez I just have this feeling whatever I buy Inf. is gonna release something a month later that I'd want lol!

 

smaller G should be the nissan Z.

if anything, infiniti should make something to compete with the Z4 not the 1 series
